About Our Team
We are a group of indigenous artisans nestled in the picturesque mountain villages of southern and western China, where our elders were accustomed to transform natural materials into wearable art through ancient dyeing and embroidery techniques. Our tradition of plant-dyed and hand-embroidered crafts has thrived for over 5,000 years, dating back to our ancestor Chiyou, the chieftain of the Jiuli tribes, who adorned himself with “bird and flower patterns” as tribal emblems.
Established over four years ago, our team is unwavering in our commitment to preserving intangible cultural heritage and sharing the beauty of traditional craftsmanship. Our passion drives us to offer free trainings to the younger generation, equipping local communities with valuable skills and sustainable employment opportunities. About Our Crafts
Our traditional embroidery are used to honors our ancestors and deities, thus we often spend four to five years to create a single costume for festivals. From growing cotton and raising silkworms to spinning, knitting, dyeing, embroidering, and sewing, each step is done by hand, making every piece unique despite similar patterns. The technical skill and time invested in each creation render them truly one-of-a-kind. We deeply cherish our traditional cultural craftsmanship and often hold festive events where we playfully compete to showcase our embroidery skills and the beauty of our creations.
